Digital & Experiential: A Love Story
Taught by ISL

With ‘experiences’ trumping ‘things’ for millennials, how can brands learn what that means for them and their products - what’s over-hyped, what you should actually pay attention to, and what can’t be missed in order to succeed in converging online and IRL?

Internet connected escape rooms, scannable and embedded temporary tattoos, and augmented reality INSIDE of virtual reality (yes, that’s a thing). As we move deeper into 2018, the proliferation of consumer touchpoints and what that means for brand-agency expectation is undergoing a massive transformation. In this session, DJ Saul & Lindsay Gsell of ISL will illustrate how digital and experiential marketing are converging more than ever, and what it means for your brand, your agency, and your products. You’ll leave with a new perspective on emerging technology’s impact on your work – from the intersection of hardware and software to the future of brand activations. We’ll review best-of-breed examples from recent campaigns and – more importantly – learn about the newest slate of tools and technology shaping the future of creative brand experiences (if you haven’t heard of ARCore, PiZero or Unreal Engine, get ready). Finally, we’ll break into small groups to brainstorm ideas together, and pitch our concepts to the room.

What you will walk away with: A deeper understanding of the technology (and costs!) that go into creating cutting edge brand activation, from software, to hardware, to the basic building blocks that go into prototyping.
